When I first was told I would have the opportunity to enroll in New Balance's "Shoe School" I hesitated at the opportunity. I've only been out of school for one year and I wasn't quite ready to go back. As the details trickled in, it was rumored that I would have the opportunity to "make my own shoe".
Within the first four months of my job as the digital media manager at Fleet Feet Chicago, I was chosen to attend New Balance’s Shoe School.
Joined by five Fleet Feet store owners, New Balance marketing reps gave us an elaborate breakdown of the New Balance production process, designed to give a behind-the-scenes of the origin of each pair with a bottom-to-top, hands-on tour through the factory floors.
